Policies for numbered and Web-only publications

1. Since February 2002, all new Extension and Experiment Station numbered publications are available on the Web as PDFs. The materials provided for the print versions of these publications are all that is necessary to create the PDF versions.
2. For unnumbered, Web-only publications (for example, some variety trial results from one year's worth of data), the author needs to provide administrative approval and a digital file of the manuscript in either MicroSoft Word or WordPerfect. Depending on how quickly the publication needs to be posted, the author may choose to provide an electronic file of the text laid out EXACTLY as it should appear in the PDF.
3. Prior to submitting to the prepress/publishing group, authors must have their manuscripts reviewed and approved, according to Extension and Experiment Station policies.
